I dont see T Vs C selling, no. Taiko Drum Master should do well though (Bandai Namco must be praying that it does...).

And yes Ail, there's a change that Wii's peak may actually be 07 in Japan. That's not as unusual as it seems though, as I think Ps2, XB and GC all peaked in their 2nd

Wait, you actually expect a fighting game that isn't apart of the main big three (Tekken, SC, and SF). Tansunko vs. Capcom will sell terribly. Fighting games sales are in a huge decline.

 

And he wasn't talking about quality either.

Both Tansunko and Capcom characters are very popular in Japan though; I reckon it will sell pretty good, 100k-250k total.

 

But even that isn't earth shattering.

And the big three franchises have seen declines in sales. SC 4 is slowly creeping past SC 3 but will not pass SC 2. SF 4 will not, in all likelyhood, pass SF2. And Tekken has been in decline since the third one I believe.

its kind of funny but the wii has sold tons more hardware than the PS3 and 360 in japan.

dont forget about Monster Hunter 3.
that's going to be huge in japan

And why Japan exactly is the most important market to them if they earn there far less with each Wii sold than in America/Europe and the atach rate in Japan have always been the smallest?

With the recent strong showing of the yen I somehow doubt that sentence is still true...
