Didn't read all the comments but I tend to agree HVS is no FPS expert. And Conduit is pretty much guaranteed to be a generic shooter and probably lack true imagination, art style and great design sense. It's no CoD4 or Halo. I don't think anyone expects it to be.

However considering it is the only FPS not set in WWII (aside from Red Steel) unless it is total crap I'll be getting it because I'd like a fun, run and gun FPS for my Wii. With the lack of any quality FPS on Wii even Haze would be praised by Wii only owners if it was a Wii exclusive.

And I hope Conduit's online makes up for what CoD5's lack (like capture the flag)

First of all you are wrong about the Conduit. Second, mabye you forgot who's going to win this generation regargless of how many games flop.Third, this game has a lot of potential. Fourth, it may not be Gears 2 or Resistance 2, but the game will have some good sales. I agree with you on the "not having a hardcore fanbase" but they are getting there. In my opnion, they will be gaining some hardcore gamers when the Conduit is released. Remember it can't happen overnight. However, this game is a start on the hardcore fanbase.

I was expecting an average game really....

I don't get it. The single player to Call of Duty 4 was bland. Hell, every Call of Duty game I've played has been the same thing over again. Halo = Halo 2 = Halo 3. Resistance = Resistance 2. All the same thing. I've seen people here talk about how The Conduit hopes to be as good as the games I listed, but, I hope it's not. Those games were mediocre in my book.

However, I will admit I don't think it'll be as good as Half-Life 2, but, I do expect it to be a good game. And I don't get why people are expecting it to have 80% in reviews. From what we've seen and heard, the controls look and feel excellent. The game looks great considering it's release is five months away, they're listening to the fans, and, well, it's what a FPS should be. If someone says The Conduit is going to be generic, they must also agree that Call of Duty, Resistance, Halo, and most other FPSs are generic as well.

Besides, no FPS has impressed me since Goldeneye. =P

I can be a fanboy I admit,  but Im not the kind of fanboy that still keeps arguing only to prove my point even elevating the topic even how many facts is shove out of me. Wow PS3 fanboys should concentrate on their console and dont come to Nintendo forum forcing people to believe that The Conduit will be a bad game, because you dont know it. Game has been recieving amazing hype and support from everywhere which is good.

I think Gamers should support any attempts to make a good game on any console , no matter is it a Wii a PS3 or some homebrew game on Dreamcast, if people can enjoy they console experience more because of it, that's awesome. Conduit is an important title in Wii library for next, people do forget that gaming is about Fun and not about some ridicilous competition. If you wish that games on certain console would suck you should really give up this hobby.

Haha it very well could flop or even suck. I mean unproven dev and an unproven IP. Maybe I have too much faith in it but I think it'll have a shot.

even if it sucks I have fallen for the hype and will probably still get it first day .
