Throw in PS3 numbers, and EU PS3 numbers, could be easily near 1.4 million. (PS3 CoD4 opened with 444k, this could manage 600k.)

2:1 ratio for FPS's is standard

that means a WHOOPING! 1.2 Million 1st Week for COD 5 overall....if we add in PC versions it could be upto 1.6 Million

COD has just become a mainstream franchise!

Eh, I still consider CoD 1 for PC the high point of the franchise. Still, CoD4 left a massive legacy in the mainstream, and it seems CoD is destined to be a huge game series for the next who-knows-how-many releases. CoD5 getting such great reviews shows that Infinity Wards protege Treyarch may be getting the handle of things.

Now if only Treyarch(and Infinity Ward, ftm) will branch out past Call of Duty. Who knows what awesome could come about!

oh I hate the franchise.....I simply meant sales wise it went mainstream due to COD 4...thats all.

Right, it'd look like we'll see around 1.2m between the next-gen systems. Add in the Wii, and it could be pretty nice.

And yes, the numbers are WW. The range for the X360 is between 700,000 and 900,000 with a median of 800k World Wide.
