Game Republic announced a new brand "Board Game Republic", which will publish various European board games.

The first one is Catan, which is released on 8-Dec-2008.  It supports up to 4 online players.  But I don't know which PSN region(s) offer this product.

The coming games include:
- Shadow Hunters
- Owners Choice
- Trick & Treat

This is a good news to me as I like playing European board games very much!

wow one of my favorite board games, was just playing a couple games with my friends last night actually. However i think without my friend's in the room it's not that fun, i'd rather just take out the board game.

THE best board game ever finally heading to PSN, nice, although I think board games are much better IRL than on consoles.

Nice. The one area where I was envious of the x360 selection was the store/DLC with stuff like Catan and Carcassonne. Nice to see Catan will be coming to the PSN, hopefully Carcassonne will follow.

Though it is disappointing this is a separate ground up rewrite, and we can't get a single publisher to make a multi-platform release that we can all play online.

Catan, as in Settlers of Catan?

Yeah, that's the one. The game version was just called Catan.

I have a few friends who love the game and i play a fair few times with them, lose a lot but it's fun. Don't know if I'd get it for the PSN though.

I love Settlers of Catan! I might have to check it out then.

Does it have both offline and online multiplayer?
