Wait what about Disaster and Fatal Frame? Fatal Frame was not developed by Nintendo, but they published it and own the IP. If games that were not developed by Nintendo counts (Starfox Adventures, F-Zero GX, DK Racing) them so should FF.
Also, take out Mario Party from the list. It sucked on the N64 and it sucks now. Board or minigame compilation isn`t really what we should call "core" game.

as im sure people have said before, i don't think it is nintendo abandoning "core" titles its third parties not developing these games for the wii.....the third parties have produced a lot of games for the wii but a good amount have been shovelware

We shouldnt be counting region exclusive titles, since that's not the point. Therefore FF and Disaster shouldn't be counted. If not Jap only GC and N64 releases should be counted too.
Let's keep it to the WW released games.
