I fully expected Baird to die in this one. Don't know why I thought that. I liked how, at the end the chopper went down and they acted like Baird was in it for a second. Then, I thought Anya had died, but she was hanging out with Cole. Seeing how Maria, Tai, and Carmine were handled, I couldn't deal with another death! Epic was just F'n with me.

I was happy with the ending. No cliff hanger, but still a lot of room for a sequel. Those are the best kinds of endings.

There was a bit of a cliff hanger, did you watch the credits till the very end?

The boss was very underwhelming, you fire the HoD at him a few times. Scourge was also really easy and while I did enjoy the Brumak battle, that was very easy as well, but all in all, that was a great game, but the ending does annoy me.

We all know that we have not destroyed the locust, but the question is what have we done?

Yeah, but compared to what I'm used to, the question that was asked and the guy who asked it didn't really give me a sense of "Holy Shit!" that I'm used to.  Just and open door for a sequel in my opinion.

I actually like the way the game ended. Sure there wasn't much of a "boss fight" but the final Brumak run and everything leading up to the ending was very well done I thought.

I went back and read the threads where some people were trying to deride the game from just the tidbits of the ending and boss battle that were leaked. Kinda funny now that the game is out and the whole experience came to light. This was a vast improvement over the first game and a well done effort overall. The whole game was so much more varied and epic in scale. Everything seemed so polished and all in all a great campaign IMO.

What I liked most about Gears 2...

Everything. Really, don't make me choose, it was all so wonderful! :D

I also have to agree that I liked the Adam Fenix-thing after the credits. Really made me hyped for a Gears 3... Which won't be out for atleast another 2 years... fuck :P

The problem I have with the boss fight is the team hyped him up too much.  He was supposed to make Raam look like a pansy.  Raam could omgwtfpwn the new guy.  I don't even remember his name.

Overall though, not that big of a deal.  Still a decent boss fight.  Still better than any boss fight in R2.  My friends are all laughing at me for buying that right before gears came out.  =(

Holy crap I didn't even wait for the end of the credits. Is it a long amount of stuff at the end or just him talking with no video?

He's just talking through some sort of speaker based on the voice distortion, but it's just against a black screen with the Gears of War 2 sign in front of it.
