Forums - Microsoft - I've finished Gears 2! (Spoilers)

In my opinion this game is 2.5 times better than the original.

This game has a good story.

This game made my cry when Doms wife died.

The graphics are better than anything I've seen before.

This is the best shooter I've ever played.

The sales are great for this game.

If you have a 360 you MUST get this game...

Post your favorite thing about this game below.

I like how they fixed just about everything that irritated me about the first one. Chainsaw battles are nice, but somewhat broken due to Aholes using turbo controllers every now and then. Works fine for single player obviously. I like how you now chainsaw through objects in the environment.

I could go on for quite while, but you asked for our favorite thing about the game. I don't have to listen to my friends bitch about how I chainsawed them when they had it revved up too. Automatically makes it my favorite improvement.

how was the final boss fight?

I don't know about crying when Maria died, but the story was significantly better. Even more poignant I thought (and telling) was Adam Fenix's "what have you done?" at the very end.

Hmmm...favorite thing...hmmm, don't know. I honestly think the best addition was the war journal to keep track of all your collectibles/achievements.

I fully expected Baird to die in this one. Don't know why I thought that. I liked how, at the end the chopper went down and they acted like Baird was in it for a second. Then, I thought Anya had died, but she was hanging out with Cole. Seeing how Maria, Tai, and Carmine were handled, I couldn't deal with another death! Epic was just F'n with me.

I was happy with the ending. No cliff hanger, but still a lot of room for a sequel. Those are the best kinds of endings.

I just finished the game, my only problem is the ending, is there something after the credits? (which are currently playing)

 What final boss fight?

Everyone is talking about the ending in the multiplayer rooms, so I rushed through on "casual" just to not have the ending spoiled for me.  That being said, casual is definitively, well casual as I never died, and only needed to be revived once.

I only say that, so that I can say this (with a little chagrin): the last boss battle was relatively easy.  I found the areas, before riding the brumak, to be much more challenging (riding the brumak is helluv fun though).

Looking forward to going through the campaign with a buddy on "Insane" mode now.

Nothing major, just a quick message...

Thanks. I got jumped on by a swarm of people when i said the boss fight looked underwhelming. I was curious to see how it turned out.
