Forums - Gaming - Will Facebreaker K.O. Party sell more than Facebreaker?

It does have PARTY in the title, so it should sell a considerable amount. 40k (not 400k, 40k) is guaranteed, since Ninjabread Man sold about that much. With that in mind, it would outsell the PS3 version but be below the 360 version. Those were terrible because of their control and relentless difficulty. Maybe the Wii version doesn't have those problems.......

The 360 demo has atrocious, so if the Wii version is anywhere in the vicinity, it doesn't deserve more than 40k sales. I still can't believe I fell for EA marketing b.s. saying Punch-Out was the inspiration behind this game. The damn thing plays like Ready 2 Rumble, with no noticeable improvements in the 9 years that have passed since it came out.

If it bombs, maybe EA will learn fom this and stick with Fight Night.

It could but is that really an accomplishment haha.

boxing for the Wii = Wii Sports Boxing in the minds of most, so it should reach at least 120k.

At least 100k people will accidentally buy this game expecting it to be Wii Sports Boxing 2.

That alone will make is sell better than the other two versions combined.

I also played the 360 demo and I got destroyed in literally 12 seconds. I tried to put up some kind of defense but I was immediately squashed. I knew it was a Ready 2 Rumble clone, but at least R2R was playable. Facebreaker was not.

As for Fight Night, I really want to play another one of those. I spent hours upon hours playing Fight Night 2004 when it was released. It was a good franchise that should see some type of sequel.

I think it will. I didn't even know that it actually released on the other two systems. I think this game could easily sell 100,000 on the Wii if it gets at least a little of advertisement and hype. I think even a quarter million is possible. I feel that way because with the large installed base and the fact that so many games do hit 0.25 million, I think Facebreaker could too.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

Yes. 100K. That's my prediction.

I don't know what consoles you own, but you must pick up a cheap copy of one of the later games. The whole series just got better and better. If it's PS3 or 360 then get Fight Night Round 3. If it's Wii, then get the Gamecube version of Fight Night Round 2(w/ Super Punch-Out as an extra).
