I agree with Squilliam. 85%+ Is where I would call a JRPG AAA. Unlike FPS, or WRPGs; Jrpgs generally don't get high ratings. The only ones that seem to get high reviews anymore have Final Fantasy in the name.

Persona 3 was pretty awesome. Some reviewers were probably offended by the guns to the head but that game deserves to be AAAA because Atlus' SMT series is one of the most unpredictable (in a good way) video game series in existence.

I think it will be WKC if it lives up to the hype, the SOTLH if it lives up to the hype(by the 85% definition of a AAA JRRPG)

If we use 85% as the base then there are already are AAA JRPGs this gen.

Barring a miracle, FFXIII will be the first AAA JRPG based on review scores. Western reviewers score FF games well, whether they deserve it or not. I personally think there are three current gen AAA JRPG's right now. What are they?

Tales of Vesperia
Valkyria Chronicles

Persona 3 and 4 don't count since they're on the PS2.  And handhelds don't count either.  None of the ones on the PS3, Wii or 360 have made 85% on gamerankings unless Valkyria Chronicles counts.  And ToV was only 1% away from hitting 85% on gamerankings.

I think "Arc Rise Fantasia" will get good scores.

I think the Last Remnant can take a AAA, this has been very hyped on its concept of pleasing West and East. It's at least a million seller for sure.
