Review scores don't make a "year" for a console. Even then, right now Gears 2 has a higher average than MGS4. The highest reviewed game is GTAIV, which is on both systems. If reviews had an impact on a year for a console, Nintendo would usually be a front runner. 5 of the last 7 years has resulted in a Nintendo game taking top spot.

A "year" is more or less given to a system because of popularity and sales. 2008 belongs to the Wii.

There's no need, as you haven't proven yourself right.  Until you do that, countering your "points" is unnecessary.

'09 will be a better year for the PS3 than '08. There will most likely be a price cut early in the year. When this happens it will have a large sales effect. GT5 and God of War 3 will be huge and I'm sure there will be plenty of other great games (just like this year).

Aren't the PS3 fans the ones that disowned the whole "it got better reviews" process after Resistance 2 failed to hit 90%?

This thread would have been better if the title was correctly written as "I think 2008 belongs to the PS3 and heres why" as opposed to the paraphrased version in this threads title.

Also if this year was the PS3's, we're really having the worst generation of console gaming in the post-crash era (2 games doesn't make a year).
