Well lets be fair.  Motorstorm 1 wasn't great.  It was just a servicible racing game for the PS3 which didn't have much going for it... then it was bundled.

I mean, the PS3 has had much better racers since then...

They're all just placeholders till GT5 anyway.

Motorstorm is really good though. I just rented the new one. It's quite fun. Play before you hate.

Played the old one... thought it was lame. 

Which if the second one is a lot better.  Good, but most people are going to see the name and think of the mediocre original.

I posted the article that I found that was dealing with the fact that gears was the third highest game for the 360(behind gta and halo). I posted it as it was writen, there was no trolling involved lol some of you guys are way to sensative. If anything I thought people(like myself) who were hoping for good sales for LBP would be pleased with this as it showes it still came in second even though there was a bunch of good games that came out just before and just after.

All the Sony fans playing it wise now with hindsight; saying that nobody expected LBP to outsell GeoW2 and that it is wrong to compare a new IP with a more mature IP. That wasn't what they were all saying before. LBP was supposed to be huge (and no, people weren't saying that tongue in cheek at the time). I honestly thought it would have done a lot better myself (deservedly so) and do agree with Leo-'s post above that the stalled launch affected sales to some extent.

I cannot be bothered to trawl through all the old threads to highlight them. However, here is one of the recent threads, where Leo-J still said he expected LBP to do better in others than GeoW2.

I guess... but not in this case.  I really did think it was mediocre.  There is no price tag that would get me to add it to my library.

The only way i would of bought it would of been if I owned a PS3 at launch... it was the only system i had, and for some reason i couldn't buy any of the number of PS2 racers that were better and REALLY wanted a racer.
