Forums - Gaming - My Korg Ds-10 arrived to day,

and it is awesome, the interface, is quite litterally a Korg MS-20 mixing board, and it works very well,

THe emulation seems very close to me, though truthfully I've never used a Korg MS-20 in real life, but it sounds good and you can really make fantastic custumizable sounds.

The interface is a little overwhelming at first but playing around with the different controls I quickly got the hang of it, I hope to just try out some of my favorite musical pieces running through it soon.  Everything is easy to read and make out

There are a few drawbacks, you are limited to different 16 different 16 beat patterns, and songs are limited to 100 measures, you can't multi input on the keyboard, so each beat can only have the 2 synth sequences and the 4 drums, but you can still get a nice sound but chords are out, the synth can be updated from pattern to pattern but the drums can't be customized between patterns,

oh yeah, the manual is 50 pages long, 1 language, fairly small print, and frankly only scratches the surface of the sound machine.

Overall it is what I was expecting and I am very pleased with it, I'm getting all sorts of cool sounds out of it, I might post some of the random sound ramblings I've made so far on youtube and post them here so if anyone is interested they can atleast hear how the emulation sounds

Never heard of what you're talking about..even with higher quality sound, why would I want to hear that? It sounds like something from an Atari game...when Atari first came out..????????? I'm not trying to poke fun at you..but I don't get it..

it is an analog synthesizer, based on a synthesizer from 1978, 1 year after the 2600 actually,

it is for people that like synth music, things like Vengelis, it actually is pretty powerful and the poor sound quality is degrading it like crazy, anyone will tell you 8khz is very bad and it definitely isn't helping here and yes my sound designs are far from great as it is like I said something I put together in about 15 minutes

better sound designs and better quality and it would sound a whole lot better, but simply put the interface is pretty complex a bunch of knobs and sliders and connection jacks, every hear Chariots of Fire's soundtrack?

the reason you never heard of it is because it is an incrediblely niche product, if you don't know what a Korg ms-20, or the yamaha dx line is this product probably won't mean much to you, for people that like these

but give synth music a chance it actually sounds very unique
