Forums - Gaming - *SPOILERS* Gaming's 10 Most Powerful Scenes *SPOILERS*

Thus far, Lost Odyssey and Shadow of the Colossus have become must plays in my eyes. You guys did a really good job of selling me on those 2. I already played most of the others. Suikoden II looks like a worthwhile buy, but I wouldn't have the time to enjoy it like I'd want to.

Man, ten games aren't enough. Indigo Prophecy, Prince of Persia, Resident Evil (Rebecca Chamber's optional death), Call of Duty 4, Ms. Pac Man, Second Sight, I could go on and on..........Just goes to show that as a story telling medium, gaming has been kicking ass for ages. And this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

What no frieking Kefka from FF6???

or how about learning that Fei (Xenogears) are actually ID ???

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

One of my favorite moments of gaming was actually from a very odd game... The Darkness.

It's hard for a game to get me so riled up that I want to kick a digital creation's ass so badly I can taste it... That game had that moment.

Here is my personal list from the top of my head. Trying my best to limit the countless MGS scenes of course! ;)

10) Kingdom Hearts ending
9) Bioshock, Andrew Ryan reveal
8) COD4 Opening
7)Silent Hill 2 bad ending, remembering that you were the one who killed your wife you carry her body back to your car and commit suicide
6) The Darkness, having to watch your girlfriend executed before your eyes (too bad I thought the gameplay was terrible!)
5) Shadow of the Colossus Pretty much the entire game!
4) FFX ending
3) Silent Hill 1, when Lisa discovers that she's really dead and blood pours down her face as she pleads for you to help her.
2) Metal Gear Solid 4 debriefing
1) Metal Gear Solid 3 ending

Lost Odyssey has some very sad scenes and they're so epic!

The top of my list would be the FF IV scene where Dark Knight Cecil overcomes his past self and become a Paladin which is the only way he will ever find redemption.

Yeah. I forgot this one. It is truly a great scene.

The ending of HL2 Episode 2 should definitely be on there.

When my dog caught its first frisbee, that was such a powerful moment. Thanks Nintendogs, for giving me this warm fuzzy feeling.

I think the cutscene in Halo where the flood are first introduced is pretty powerful. You just couldn't see it coming. The level 343 Guilty Spark is the climax of the game's storyline. In fact, I think I'm going to go play Halo right now.

HALOOOOOOOOut.
