Forums - Gaming - Did LBP live up to the hype for you?

The day after I got it one of my girlfriends friends came over and I just happen to have a third controller. After we smoked a j we had the most awesome time the three of us laughing and playing making faces with the sack people customizing our outfits. Bouncing off the walls. Getting killed racing, throwing bombs etc. It was a great night that only could have been better if we had capped it off with a 3some. She's coming over tonight for more LBP fun. This game is awesome and I recommend for casuals and hardcore alike. And I'm still working on my level it will be great.

This guy knows how to game!!!

i knew of the hype surrounding the game but i guess it didn't impact me all that much. i mostly saw cute surroundings with dressed up sack people so i wasn't driven crazy over this game.

i will say that the hype moved me to get this game first day.

gameplay-wise i haven't been completely wowed. seeing some of the excellent user created content has me completely blown away. i haven't created any levels yet because i haven't finished the game yet but i'm really looking forward to it.

also, i'm glad my wife likes the game so far.

Hell yes.

It exceeded them easily

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

No. I played through half of the story mode and was left unimpressed. Then I played through a few community levels, and there were only 3 that stood out. The level editor is a cool feature, but I don't have the time to create levels.

It has exceeded the hype.

For me this game has exceeded the hype......been following it since day one when it was first revealed and thought it was going to be something special. Got into the beta last month and was sold from the moment it started.....and bought it day one and have loved playing and creating with it! Definately exceeded the hype for me! :)

Nah, I disagree. Joints aren't good for gaming. You have to roll it, deal with ashes, relight it, you can't smoke it during any online play. Bong/Pipe hits are the way to go for stoned gaming.

How about a steamroller? Good enough?

well, as i don't have a ps3 (and didn't think i ever would) i never really got hyped for it. but i'm loving it now (on my next door neighboors ps3) therefore hype exceeded. xD
