I thought it was amazing!

it's one of the few demos I've actually kept after playing it

so why is everyone saying that it was downright horrible?

It was really only horrible compared to the retail version, and even then only in the graphical department.

The demo is just a really old build:

I didn't like the lack of control. Those cars had zero handling, compared to the original motorstorm (demo)

I loved it. I decided to buy it After playing the demo. It was just a MAYBE before. SO, no it was great.

the game is insanely fun(i also bought it after trying the demo)

the only thing that pissed me off was the abundance of obstacles in the begging, but after that, it was great

It was a half ass demo on an old build. WTF were they thinking? I base most of my games that I buy on demo impressions. A good review gets me interested. A good demo makes me buy it.
