Forums - Nintendo - If one Nintendo franchise had to bite it.

Which one is the most likely to get bitten?

(Lol sorry just had to make one since someone made a topic about sony franchises.)

Mario.....

Everything just seems so similar from game to game it feels like there is no point... and does the story ever change???? Or is mario going to be rescuing the princes in SuperMario Game #93 as well????

4 ≈ One

Anything involving Wario. Wario games are shallow compared to the greatness of Nintendo's other characters.

haha, the person who said mario fails at life. that is their number one flagship franchise. that is the very last franchise that should be gotten rid of in all of gaming. if suddenly only new ip's were allowed with one exception it should be mario, but they should make it mostly 2d gaming again.

i'd say any wario franchise or... hmm, well yeah i think that is the worst. i agree with groucho.

end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million,  360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million

Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus

Proud owner of wii, gamecube, xbox, ps2, dreamcast, n64, snes, genesis, 3DO, nes, atari, intellivision, unisonic tournament 2000, and gameboy

Wario. worst nintendo games.

Yeah sure, the biggest franchise in gaming is going to die, good luck with that little wet dream, you gonna need it.

As for which one is the most likely to die, Mother(Earthbound) is, in my opinion the most likely one. Oh, and Metroid could well change format again but not die off.

Persons without argument hide behind their opinion

The only one I could think of is Mario Party. Granted, the most recent sequel on the Wii was a gigantic hit but the previous games in the series were going downhill saleswise and the series wasn't really adding much from one game to the next. Although that meant Nintendo didn't have to put a lot of time, effort into it and so it was obviously a cheap quick money maker for Nintendo.

For those reasons, I wouldn't be really upset if they ended the franchise for some reason.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

donkey kong country already dead and i am happy those games were crap

Star Fox

The franchise had a fresh feeling to it (back in the 90's)  :(

Probably the Wario related stuff. That or Star Fox. It has definitely seen better days. I can't say the Yoshi spin-offs are great either, but those have pretty much died already.

I have never been a fan of Metroid, but it has transitioned pretty well into the modern gaming era, so it deserves to keep on going.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
