Honestly lately Ive been hearing really great music from trailers which is most likely in game.
Sonic Unleashed and Mirror's Edge come to mind. Also Brawls and MGS4 soundtracks were awesome.

Has any other year released so many games with such great music.

Not a big fan of Mirror's Edge music.. Reminds me of Ghost in the Shell though.

Only great soundtracks this year was MGS4 and SSBB. the 90's era of gaming had better sound tracks IMO
