Forums - Sales - Stupidest quote from sony yet!

Yeah, but Nintendo said that too...few people remember Perrin telling Matt C. that perhaps he's not getting paid enough if he can't afford VC games hehe.

hah, i never heard this one, then again everyone was having such a good time beating on Sony, i didn't hear anything else.

not so stupid, they actually did lose less. to whoever asked about them having stored PS3s costing them more, if those had been sold, then they would have to build more, etc.

The DS fad quote was good, but my fav was from MS and Moore, "you know, things break"

I never listen to any of these aholes anyways.

@jjseth - Well ok, explaining how Sony's competitors *could* have spun information isn't exactly the same as giving an example where it happened, but I'll give it to you anyway. If it were Microsoft or Nintendo making rediculous excuses, I would expect people to call them on it too, when it really is rediculous. The spin in this case is just that. I understand why they do it. I understand it's their job to do it, to make themselves look as good as they can. But that they have to spin it that hard to look good is what's a shame.

@vizunary - They're producing systems at full capacity as it is, aren't they? They're shipping those systems out right now regardless of how they're selling, (probably particularly in preparation for the holidays). I don't think that's a valid point.

Prediction: Wii passes 360 in US between July - September 2008. (Wii supply will be the issue to watch, and barring any freak incidents between now and then as well.) - 6/5/08; Wow, came true even earlier. Wii is a monster.

@Avalach21

Yes, in the sense that he could spin stuff, if he needed to do so. However, he started with Nintendo when they were moving up, so he really hasn't said things that STAND OUT as much as the company who is currently in third place, or the company whose hardware breaks down.

I would be suprised if any company, ever, said "Wow we really screwed up big time guys, and we didn't sell enough consoles. You know what, we are idiots! Wow I can't believe how stupid we are!"

Theres a positive side to everything, just gotta find it!
