Ok this will contain a very minor spoiler, but anyone who plays it should see this coming from the 2nd mission on.

On the Soviet mission where you kill Krukov just as I'm finishing it and you hear "Krukov is dead. HUZZAH!" and right then and there my game crashes every single time. It just alt-f4s or something, no error no nothing. Has this happened to anyone else?

there's a fix out there. you should have an idea of where to find it.

From what i've read this problem is only an issue for the pirated version of the game.
