I wouldn't say "Outset Island" is an arrangment to "Kokiri Forest" in the same way "Forest Haven" and "Inside the Forest Haven" most certainly are.  But "Outset Island" does contain exerpts from Kokiri Forest... as well as "Aryll's Theme" and "Zelda's Theme".

I can give you specific timing of where to find each motif in that song if you like.

But damn, what's that about Koji Kondo? Do you have a source (besides the fact that he hasn't done a lot lately)? This is indeed a sad day if true.

There have been many interviews where this has been mentioned.  He more of a sound supervisor nowadays.  Very sad, but true.  Here's one interview, but you can find plenty more to confirm this.

The article states that the last game Kondo scored was Ocarina of Time on his own.  That's true if you wanna be technical, but you could say Majora's Mask was the last game as he scored, as he composed the entire soundtrack save for three battle themes written by Toru Minegishi.

He still writes pieces here and there, but it's not the same.  I'd love for Kondo to start being on as many projects as possible like the old days.

Kondo is great, but I believe that Nobuo Uematsu is the greatest Videogame musical composer of all time.

Matt Ueleman(sp?) is also very impressive too and I would like to hear more work from him.

a better way to see this: compare outset island to kokiri forest

same song..remixed..

WW remixed alot of OoT songs for the original places..

not all..just a few

same with TP..TP took the cong of time for the Temple of Time..

and it actually explains why the Master Sword is in the Forest in Alttp

Kondo made me love LoZ music...if he's not composing anymore..it's a shame..it's why OoT feels different from TP also..

OoT had a really distinct feel...TP can't kill it..T.T
