Forums - Nintendo - Windfall Island Music (Zelda WW) = Kakariko Village Music (OoT)

The Wind Waker used quite a lot of remixed songs from other Zelda games and gave it some kind of Irish touch to fit the theme of the game.

The music in the village below the mountain in Twilight Princess (yeah I don´t know what it is called in English, as some names might be changed in the german translation) is a western kind of remix of Kakariko as well. Ever noticed?

The Village is called Kakariko village, so I wouldn't call that a surprise

Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.

Isn't Windfall meant to be where Kakariko was... you know the whole world flooded thing.... Most of the places in Windwaker are based on placed in OoT/ALttP

Makes sense to use the same song. (albeit changed very dramatically)

With Dragon Roost the Rito birdmen are meant to be descendants of the Zora, but living where the Gorons used to.

Of course it is. Isn't it obvious? Oh, and OoT Kakariko was a remix of LttP Kakariko.

Around the Network

No it's not obvious at all.
What's really obvious is that ALttP is the exact same one as the OoT one.

Where 1 is the lowest note and 4 is the highest, the six note section of Kakariko...

1-2---1-3---1-4

...is identical to Windfall. It doesn't appear in any other song, so it was immediately obvious to me.

I don't see Death Mountain = Dragon Roost or Hyrule Field = Great Sea though. Give me some timings of the similar parts.

Me neither, the dragon roost comment I made was in fact to show that not all songs re the same, cause I was being sarcastic. The Great Sea one though is similar to Hyrule Filed one, but maybe it's just me. Not exactly the same as the Windfall/Kakariko case, but there's some similarities that I dont know how to explain.

Actually, the dungeon on Dragon Roost uses the same music as Dodongo's Cavern in OoT.

As for the Great Sea, it's similar to Hyrule Field because both arrangements are based on the classic Zelda theme.

Oh, and Outset is another version of Kokiri Forest.

And Kakariko in TP is actually an arrangement of ALttP's Dark World.

I think Adventure of Link is one of the few games in the series to hardly be referred to musically by later installments.

That's because Kondo didn't score that one.  Now that Kondo no longer writes music (a damn shame, really), the new composers use his soundbook as a reference.
