It is strange that the only people trying to slam MGS 4 are people that like the 360 and Wii more than the PS3.

Looks like you're wrong about owning me. Resistance 2 and Fable 2 have identical review scores according to Game Rankings and both Bioshock PS3 and Little Big Planet have higher scores than Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3 360, so I would still say the PS3 has the best holiday lineup which was my main point .

Of course I am expecting Left 4 Dead to be overrated on the 360 because a lot of Western / USA games journalists with their pro 360 bias will see that the PS3 is beating the 360 on those charts and try to find someway to make the 360 look better.

Chill out man, MGS4's quality is undeniable. It's just that some have different personal preferences which is absolutely normal in this day and age.

For example, excluding MGS(4) from the debate, i'd personally put Berserk manga story and storytelling above all i've read and watched in the past decade in the entertainment medium.

Now, just for the sake of beeing on topic, i must say that even though i only played some 4 or 5 hours of GTA4, i enjoy the story and dialogue so far. The story is not rushed and the characters are fairly interesting. The cutscene direction (camera work and photography) could be better, though it still beats many games in recent memory.

NO MORE HEROES!!!, the story is so odd and strange, the ending is weird, I loved that story.

Ahahahaha, I know this is from way back on page 5 or so, but oh my god you are so wrong. Stephen King, the greatest 20th century American novelist? I can name dozens of better, more important, and less pulpy 20th century American novelists. If you wanted to select the greatest, try Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Kurt Vonnegut, Joseph Heller, William Faulkner... there's plenty of authors you could make a great case for. But Stephen King? Not. A. Chance.

Also, though I'm not very well read in graphic novels, I'm fairly sure that a graphic novel about Batman written by a genre writer isn't the height of the medium.

That's the problem with threads like this: You have people who aren't very well-read or experienced in high culture trying to pin down what costitutes a high-culture video game. It's like having someone who's only eaten fast food all of their life try to be a critic of haute cuisine. You just can't decide what's good or bad if you don't have the requisite "worldliness" to do so.

Theres absolutely no need to exclude MGS4. It doesnt even come close to the level of Berserk
