It all depends on your expectations:

If you regard Little Big Planet as a quality addition to the PS3 library that will see strong (2-3m lifetime) sales, you should be happy. It's right where it should be.

If you're one of the people who has been touting Little Big Planet as Sony's salvation, well, you've got some explaining to do because it did nothing to improve hardware sales.

Expect to see massive spinning and downgrading of LBP expectations from Sony fans over the next few weeks. You can already see it in this thread, actually (e.g. leo-j trying to include sales from three different weeks as "week one").

This is it. It has done well enough so far, but the hard part has yet to come. The opening has shown it should easily reach 2mil, but if people are expecting more, we'll have to wait...

@Leo-J: Most games don't have full first weeks. Like Sulla said, seems you're trying to spin the numbers... just let it be.

Wow...everything you just said actaully made no sense at all.  What do you mean you don't know what RES2 (resistance 2) is???  Just because it isn't out yet doesn't mean people don't make the choice to pass on one purchse for a future purchase.

And yes people make choices about the purchases they make therefore choosing not to purchase LBP and instead choosing to purchase either fallout 3 or Res2...hence the lost in the shuffle comment, it happens.

I cant believe people thoguht this would outsell Fable 2, a proven franchise. PS3 fans gotta remember that the PS3 isnt as big nas they like it to be, meaning that its games wont sell as well.

yes they were. Just goes to show ou internet hype is from a *******vocal minority******, people who do not even come close to determining how good a game will sell.

AT least when 360 gamers hype games like Fable 2 and Gears 2, we stay true to our promise and make sure it sells.
