Welcome to the future. I think MS & Sony will make next gen even more casualish. :)
Whether casual or hardcore, the more systems sold the better for gamers in general. We shouldn't be dividing ourselves up and drawing lines, we should be standing shoulder to shoulder telling the world that games are GREAT!

We've cycled for oh-so-many of these as of late it's hard to keep track anymore.
Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).
Oh give me a break guys... a good gaming console is one that offers something for EVERYONE, from the hardcore gamer to the casual one. Microsoft knows this, and is just doing what's good for the company.
Secondly, the 360 held it's hand out to the casual gamer a long time ago, so this isn't anything new. Just go to XBOX arcade... full of retro and casual games.

You are serious I assume? A kingdom for keflings is an arcade game, and will include an option for you to use avatars... It also looks like a very good strategy game.
