Forums - Sony - New White Knight Story Gameplay Sceens

Well, yeah. This would be fine as a $50 game for a $250 system (with pack-in). It's somewhat lackluster for a $60 game on a $500 system.

Very few people are simply against powerful game consoles; the issue is generally one of value for cost, and it's valid to point out that very few (if any) PS3 games really demonstrate the need for a $500/$600 system and a $60 per-game price tag.

Your right I agree, there has to be a game that wants you to buy the ps3 that looks so immense that plays so well that nothing else can compare. Sadly there arent any out yet, motorstorm a highly recommend as well as resistance but those games arent worth paying 500buks for. Really FF XIII and Killzone2, or maybe even heavenly sword so far are the only ones that might make you want to buy te system since those are the games that ave been talked about the most on the system(and heavenly sword is awsome).

Again if this were to be a wii game nobody would say anything, but becuase ps3 games "have" to look better than any other games its a problem even if this game is still in development..

If you would have bothered reading my comment I said that the style isn't really doing anything for me; the style has nothing to do with the graphical power.  The characters are boring in that there's nothing special about them and even the colors seems a little off.  Some spots are really bright going for some sort of anime/cartoon style while others are a little darker and trying to look realistic.  It just really doesn't work.

If this was for the Wii, I would be saying the same exact thing: the art style doesn't look together and exciting in any way at all.

Did the screenshots for kingdom hearts ecite anyone for the game.Thats what I hate about screenshots. Video is needed to clarify how good the gameplay and how smooth the framerate it.

Judging from the great videos I don't think these screenshots will be representative of the game.

I agree that people are expecting more from a PS3 game, else it would make more sense to make it a PS2 game, so PS2 as well as PS3 owners through backwards compatibility can play the game.

Oblivion on the PS3 IMO clearly is a game which looks beyond the PS2's capabilities, although I think the game engine doesn't even tap into the PS3's SPEs yet. Games like that raise expectations for future games which are expected to tap into the PS3's additional potential.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

Agreed.  The video did a lot to excite me about that gam, though I don't remember thinking anything about the style.  It could have been because it only really showed 2 different characters (PC and some NPC's I think) or I was too busy admiring the gameplay.

Looks plenty good, i love how vg people are trying to belittle a game by attacking its graphics. Ohh the irony.

I agree with Mike B. The videos look much better than the screenshots.

I think people's expectations of what every game is gonna look like now on the 360 and ps3 is getting totally out of control.

Seriously, firt RE 5 doesn't look good apparently, now this?

And don't give me the argument about Wii games looking fine for the price of the console. So you lower your standards because of the price of the console?

I think it looks great, but everyone has their opinion. I suppose it's not as ludicrous as the guy saying RE 5 looked bad...

If this is what a mediocre looking game looks like then sign me up for more of them :P

Also, Level 5 delivers so I expect great things from this.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
