Dr Kawashima and his Brain Training titles again take the main honors in the latest European software charts.
More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima for the DS is No1 in both Spain and Germany, while the game’s predecessor charts at No3 in the former country and No2 in the latter.
In Spain there’s little overall change in software sales patterns as Brain Training and Pro Evolution Soccer titles continue to prop up the chart, taking the top four places.
WWE Samckdown drops two places while Konami’s Pro Evo 6 for PSP and Nintendo’s Wii Play both move up one place.
SingStar Pop Hits, FIFA 2007 Platinum and Need for Speed Carbon Platinum are non movers at No7, No8 and No10 respectively.
There’s just one omission from last week’s chart as Activision’s Transformers slips out of the top ten. It is replaced by Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: Wild World at No9.
Overall six Sony platform titles make the top ten, five of which are Platinum releases, and four Nintendo platform games make the grade.
Likewise there’s only one new entry in the German chart, Pony Friends at No4, as last week’s No7 SingStar Pop Hits drops out of the top ten.
In Germany DS and Brain Training success is even more pronounced than in Spain, with seven of the top ten selling titles being for the Nintendo handheld including the top five. The two best sellers feature a certain Dr Kawashima.
No Xbox 360 titles make the cut for a second consecutive week but two PC games, World of Warcraft and The Sims: H&M Fashion Accessories, cling onto their top ten spots.
