I have requested repairs on my xbox's RROD about 2 weeks ago now and i was told it should take about 7-8 days, I live in Newfoundland, Canada, And i am really hoping i get them soon because my warrenty expires in 10 days! How long does it take or did it take for you to get your xbox box lol and should i refill the repair request ( i did it online ) Or just buy a new one?

Once the request has been made, the warranty expiring makes no difference. It took mine about 2 weeks to get a box from them and then get my 360 back. Not sure how fast it is for Canadians.

Call them...get a ID number for your repair order. If you get the number that is before the warranty expires you are covered as it proves that you requested the coffin before it expired.

Ok man will do but i did try to open my xbox but i only opened one of the seals do you think they will take it?

There is only one seal on the xbox... if you opened the silver one, you may as well not wait and buy a new one as they wont look at it.

They might repair it, but not for free. Who knows, maybe they won't notice or care

Wheres the silver seal there man?

My repair timeline went like this:

10/22 X360 went Kaput
10/23 Called MS. Got shipping label emailed to me that night
10/24 Mailed X360

10/30 X360 arrived in TX. Replacement united mailed same day
11/04 Received replacement unit.

13 days (9 business days) without my Xbox. It allowed me time to catch up on some of my PS3 games. Got LBP and put some nice time into the Resistance Beta.

I agree that waiting just a few days sucks though. Even worse if it's your only console

So uh

what do you do for 2 weeks without your console? Or do you have a wii and ps3 also?
