My Walmart only got the game yesterday (so happy I finally got it!), but they got a ton of copies of R2 the day it came out. Kinda irritating that it took so long to get LBP.
We're in Australia where the official launch day was 7th of Nov, but a lot of store had it for the 6th, I heard one lady complaining at my Local JB HIFI that she pre-ordered it and they told her it would be out on the 7th yet she is seeing it for sale now, they said that stocks are limited but anyone with pre order could come and get one, EB are all selling it for the 6th and my local Big-W are saying the 7th. This launch is messed up.

wow, that really sucks, i can't believe that this massive release has been screwed up so much.
i don't believe Sony is to blame, stuck between the proverbial Rock and Hard Place, they had little choice but to take the ethical line over the business line.
I really REALLY feel for those people who still haven't been able to get their hands on it. I've had it for all of about an hour and i'm still playing the opening scene! bouncing around, waving sack boys arms around. it's amazing.
perhaps i should start a game though...

Im in sweden and it was released yesterday.( 7 november ).
Ill be buying it at 15th :).

It was "really really popular" when I bought it on Monday, so it could actually be sold out.
It is selling very well right now, at least in Northern Virginia, so I don't think the delayed launch hurt the sales at all.
Heh, my friend Mark at GameStop had told me over my cell that the store never got their copies in, not even the ones to be recalled. There are two GameStops at my mall, and both had none. He called me an hour ago and told me that Best Buy nor Circuit City hasn't received theirs. However, Wal-Mart and Target has the games. WEIRD...only a few people came into my friend's GameStop had asked about the game. I have only seen LBP being advertised twice, and they weren't shown on kids' networks, mine you people on here. Only on channels such as Comedy Central (mainly, because that's when I saw them), but it was late at night when I saw the both of them.
Plus, why is everyone saying this game has major hype? I haven't seen any fliers or cardboard cut-outs. Nothing. The only hyping I'm seeing and hearing is on this website. Sorry.

It's not selling very well on amazon. You would think that if it wasn't available at many stores it would be selling better online.
