gears 2 can still win it because mgs4 online kinda sucks. but mgs4 has the better campaign.

So for those that have GEARS 2, and (sorry to compare but I need to know) Uncharted/Resistance 2

do they have comparable visuals? Or is GEARS 2 a level above them?

You dont have to turn off your xbox to leave a match. Just log out of your profile...

Also, copying halos matchmaking is the smartest decision Epic could have done. Steal form the best...

 halos matchmaking is good, but cod4's is still better. a match is found like in 2 secs, and if you quit you dont lose experience like how you do on halo. and besides, quitters get replaced by new players that join the match.

Anyways, I played my copy with friends last night in Horde and Campaign mode and must say that for once a game actually lived up to the hype as far as I'm concerned.  Better overall graphics, gameplay, and matchmaking.  The new selection of weapons was great as well as turning grenades into proximity mines and putting in the new meatshield option and new kills.  I could go on and on about all the improvements but I need to keep playing.

By the way I truly cannot see any negatives that reviewers could come up with for this game, it is virtually FLAWLESS!

That is a difference in philosophy.  Bungie views a match as a complete entity.  The people that start the match should be the people who are there at the end of a match.  A team win doesn't mean much if different people keep joining and quitting both sides.  The penalty for quitting is in an attempt to keep matches full when using this philosophy.

This game is great so far. I haven’t played enough of it to say BEST EVER… It seems you have to actually use team work on this one if you want to have successful online play. I am glad they toned down the shotgun. That is one of the things that made the first Gears get old quickly! I will have to play more before I can decide where this ranks in line of other games though. I am very impressed from what I have seen!

Gears is the best looking console game (released) that I have ever seen.

I have played Uncharted, I haven't had hands-on time with Resistance 2.

Going off videos, Killzone 2 has better lighting, but worse textures.  But you'd expect something better from a game that's been in production twice as long with three times the people on it I suppose.

Edit:  I have also played MGS4 and had my first hands-on time with LBP yesterday.
