Forums - Gaming - Don Reisinger: The Xbox 360 should win this console war

Oh just stop with your anti 360 bashing.

As if you have done anything else but cry if the 360 has been misrepresented (or risks to be misrepresented) according to you?

I stopped reading when I saw anecdotal evidence.

Someone forgot to take his pills. And; yes, Cnet is owned by Microsoft as far as I know.

This guy needs to realize that there are far more other factors involved. There's a reason the 360 has been selling less than half that of the Wii despite the price drop.

This has been posted before and as I've stated many times this is a global market and the 360 will not win europe or japan, nuff said.

Even though you didnt mention it, your implying that 360 isnt a glbal seller.....and PS3 is. Let me remind you that NA says hello. And Europe is considered somewhat of a tie now. As for Japan, the PS3 lead is nothing compared to 360's NA lead.

Yeah, now.  It was also "tied" after the price drop in April.  It didn't last, however.

He probably thought the Libertarians would win the presidency too.

I'm inclined to believe that once Sony stops hemorraging money due to the global financial meltdown, it will drop the price of PS2 and PS3 sharply, which will sap Xbox 360 of most of its current momentum. PS3 for all its issues is still selling about 2/3 to 4/5 as well as PS2 in Others in any given week. The drop in the Americas is trending toward 2/5 to 5/10 as PS2 sales, and PS3 sales in Japan suggests 2/10 to 3/10 of PS2 sales.

That puts PS3 at maybe 30m/22m/5m or so worldwide.

Can't really see Xbox 360 topping 15-18m in Others, 1.25m-2.25m in Japan or 30m in the Americas. Certaintly close, but they are essentially fighting to be the second console for the pluarality of Wii owners looking for more.
