Awesome list. Gunstar Heroes would have been nice to have on there along with all the Treasure games. Also Shadow Dancer.

Streets of rage, sweet. Question are these going to be released via PSN/Live as downloads or are they going to release these like they did previously on disc as sega classics collection? I hope its the latter because they charge too much for downloading individual games.

The game is scheduled to release in early 2009

Also someone asked in a previous thread related to this if theres gonna be a USA version of "Sega Megadrive ultimate collection"

The good news is HELL YEAH theres gonna be an american version its just differently titled due to the name of the console been different in different parts of the world, in USA it will be called "Sega genesis ultimate collection"

Was it ever really in doubt?

As i say , the news is up on both the Sega Europe and Sega USA websites

This is a pretty good list, imo. It's got the Sonics, the Golden Axes, the Eccos, the Shining Forces, and Kid Chameleon. That's pretty much every game I had for the Genesis back in the day.

Will this be a budget title? Are all the games direct ports or will they tighten up the graphics?

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - highest selling genesis game
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - Given its on the list
Streets of Rage - should be fun to play again and get the evil ending.
Streets of Rage 2 - Amazingness
Streets of Rage 3 - Beat it last week while in cuba on my PSP
Super Thunder Blade - Crap game.
Vectorman - Good choice
Vectorman 2 - We miss you Vectorman

Edited the list above with my thoughts. My only complaint is that a lot of these games have been released before on other compilations.

Also, I would love to see Gunstar Heroes, Landstalker and some other non sega games too...but we all know lawyers are a bitch when it comes to sharing game rights. Just ask MS and Nintendo over goldeneye...

Also where is Thunder force 4 and Eternal Champions? Oh yes...they are on my psp still being played. I just beat MUSHA(Aleste) and Robo Aleste on sega CD last week as well. Those games need to be re-released on xbox live...amazing SHMUPS.
