Just saw a 16 gig Flash Drive. In two more iterations BluRay will become completely useless for games, hopefully for everything considering how much better flash memory is.

Surely flash drives require more resources to make? Hence being worse for the environment.

Oh psh... If my kids are as lazy as I am they could use impedning doom to get them off their asses. Problem is that 16 gig one i saw was 25 bucks, so not only does it have to reach 64 (I'm predicting some time next year), but it also has to be cheap enough, so maybe 2010!

It would have to be less than 1 buck then so I doubt 2010 would be early enough. Pressing DVD only cost 10 cents and even Blu-Ray less than 50 cents. So for game distribution flash can't cost more than 1 to 2 bucks.

I've found 4 gig models for 8 bucks at a retailer. I'm sure it would be even cheaper otherwise, just like DVDs.
