You could have been a sloppy writer, but you admitted that your purpose was to stir the pot. I have you in quotes above admitting it. If you want a real conversation, then treat us like equals and not suspects you are trying to unearth. I'm sure it makes no difference to you on your end, but I'm sure there's a few people here with an attitude simply because you came on here with the intentions of asking each of us whether we are a rapist or not.

Well I certainly didn't want to come in here and make people feel sorry for me or anyone else. We don't want people to feel sorry for us. We want people to be AWARE that it is real. Aware that they can stop it from happening if they lets say see some creepy dude following a girl in a suspicious manner. And perhaps thats exactly what I should have said in the first place, but it required discussing this for me to get my thoughts to that point.

With the anonymous nature of the internet, people are more likely to be honest about their opinions too.

So if someone had told you that they were a rapist, would you believe them?  If they expressed an opinion that there was no such thing as rape, as women have no right to say no, could it be taken seriously?  What exactly are you trying to promote discussion of?

What about woman who make it up? Tons of men who got accused for rape were later found innocent when the girl admit that she just made it up because he break up the relationship. Etc.

I thought it was like 30-50% of women who get raped at some point in their lives. The % of men who get raped is much lower, but we'll never get good numbers for men because the chances of a man reporting it are slim to none, because of the macho-masculinity-embarrassment-guilt-hate complex that it often gives men, especially men who didn't believe in prostate stimulation and found out it felt good at the worst moment of their lives.

Fair enough.  I suppose this is what I meant when asking of a purpose.  It just took a little while to get there.

Does consensual sex counts as rape now? I was reading an article a few months back about a 17 year old having a consented sex with a 15 year old and got thrown in jail for 10 years....

Sex with a 15 year old is statutory rape in most states, but with a 17 year old it usually isn't considered as such. Depends on state law I guess.

Wow. This is shocking.

For the record, rapes SUCK. Rapes happen when guys can't get what they want, and take it with force. I would never, ever think or even consider the idea of raping someone. I have a daughter - and my wife - and my mom and sisters and if anyone raped them, no joke - they'd come up missing and on the side of a cereal box. I can't stand men (and women) who abuse folks and rape folks.
