Do you have stats for the bolded? It seems a little ignorant to say "pretty much all chicks get raped" unless you have some sort of stats that point in that direction. Also is this a personal thing? You have the same attitude you would find from someone that just got robbed from a black guy and go on a tirade upholding the stigmatism that black men are all thieves.

Are you waiting for someone to come in and say that the feminist definition of rape is so vague which is why studies show high percentages? Because you won't hear that from me. (other than to guess what you are looking for in this way) Anyways, nope, I'm not a rapist. I wish victims would/could rat out their aggressors more often though. It would lead to a deterent effect and also it would catch the serial rapists, which are a big problem. I can't look up statistics and post links too well from the PS3 browser, but the number of victims a rapists rapes before being apprehended is stagering.

I think rape is all about power/control rather than sex. I think it is worse than torture and tied with murder as the worst thing you can do to somebody. I wish it wasn't as prevalent. I think moongoddess is exaggerating when she says "pretty much all chicks" but it's way more prevalent than anybody expects. I know a lot of people who have been raped or molested in different ways. It's totally fucked.

Rape is bad.

A figure on how many chicks do get raped? The figures vary so much. I think the official one is actually 1 in 6. From talking to my friends it would seem much higher than that though. Nobody reports it, cops don't do anything but make it worse. Not to mention the other factors I mentioned why no one reports it. I'm fortunate it was never from a family member.

What I was looking for was to assess the general attitude from people regarding the subject. From what I've seen, many men actually take it extremely lightly. As seen by a joke made earlier in the thread.

^You have to be careful with your generalisations and use of the words many and most, otherwise people aren't going to take the topic seriously, which would be a shame.

One joke reply out of 15 does not equal many, if you have further experience and information then quote that. Just my opinion.

So, what would be the legal definition of rape?
Like if a girl says no but you don't stop... and then she yells and you're like, "okay fine". Is that rape? o_o

Just to avoid any type of confusion I should just start by saying I think rape is a terrible thing, it's bad, the people who do it can go to Hell, ect.

Now then, 7.7% is not even near a large amount.  Even saying something like rediculous like there's a 5% error (which is insane) that still isn't a lot.  Again, not saying even 12% would be acceptable but even if 12% of all college males raped a woman that would not mean nearly all women have been raped.

Even pretending that the 7.7% represents the general male (which isn't a hard thing to imagine) that still doesn't mean every one of that 7.7% of males raped more than one woman. 

So yeah, I have no idea where you got nearly all women have been raped.

Even your 1 in 6 thing is bogus and you should know why just from reading these forums (OMG, 1 in 6 of my friends have had the RRoD, it's an epidemic!).

Again, I'm not making light of rape or saying 7.7% isn't a bad thing and I completely agree it's a terrible thing, I just fail to see where you got nearly all women have been raped.  Even you saying the reports greatly vary should tell you that the reports don't really mean much.
