Reports coming out are proving these stories to be false. It just should prove to anyone so eager to believe this how biased they really are. Use common sense people. Look at her campaign schedule, like she had time to go "shopping" all the time. The people who worked along side her even say the most she ever asked for was a diet coke. No one who has said any of this has gone public.

Madskillz, you really should have learned not to pop a woody at every negative Palin story. Remember the "Trigg is not her baby story" I guess this just falls in that category of outrageous story that you fell for... heres a cookie.

Dude, it wasn't just me. It's Newsweek too that reported it. You don't have to believe me - but seriously, did you NOT see her interviews with Katie Couric?

False? It was on FOX, so you be the judge.

Woody? LOL ... you funny.

As far as Trig and the like - her doctor since 1997 gave her a good bill of health. Until DNA evidence is released, I still believe that's her daughter's baby. We have photographic evidence to her *pregnancy* and it's really her word against ... what?

With the rest of the stories, tell me - why should they lie? If it's proven false, I have no prob admitting I'm wrong. She can say she didn't do this and that, but if there's evidence ... folks have lost their lives.

If it was just FAUX News saying it, it's suspect. But Newsweek? Two source vs. Palin's word. Thanks, but no thanks, BJ.

you are hopeless....

Akuma, the stories about Palin are not true. Ok yea, maybe she answered the door once in a towel... So what? That is so personal I do see how it applies to anything. The Afrika thing? Seriously, she is not a college drop out. Think through it... ya she did not got to Law school or Ivy L schools like we did, but surely... The fact that "source" is unnamed makes me doubt any merit in this at all.

And no it is not a consistent message. It is just the sensational one... News media like this stuff for either it gets them better ratings (fox), or then really want to smear her (msnbc). The people just now coming out are saying that she inspired them, and was not a diva by any means. But of course you dont want to believe that. Madskills the campaign is over, please cut out the crazy talk. Get it through ur skull Trigg is Sarah Palin's baby. The fact he has downs proves this even more, down is fairly common when the mother is over 40... it is super rare when the mother is under 30.

This is what it comes down to, Sarah is getting hammered from 2 different groups. The left hate her and what she stands for, the moderate reps, want to control the party.... She is a HUGE threat to the moderate republicans. Also, I saw a poll by rassmussen today that 60% of people thought Palin HELPED the Gop ticket, while 20% said she hurt it ( am guessing the other 20 said she had no effect?)

People like u already want to believe she is a bitch and whatnot, and when u see republicans going after he, in your mind it finalizes what you already wanted to believe. The problem is, you are not analyzing the motives of the attackers, you are just accepting it as true because it is coming from here own party...

Notice, it is the disunity of the Republican party that played a huge part in the ass kicking they recieved. Now u are just seeing publicly the backstabbing that is undermining the party.

Maybe Fox News immediately became a paragon of truth because they won't be getting talking points directly from the White House anymore?

This.

Well, Obama didn't know that we have 50 states.
so if Palin didn't know about Africa is not as bad as Obama thinking we had more than 50 states.
And he is our president. I'm sure he had a brain freeze but mistakes can be made.
We have Obama making mistake on camera, but we trust unnamed source for Palin.

Both parties did not like her - this proves that she is a maverick.
Also, all the money the Republican party spent on her clothes also prove that she didn't have expensive clothes. She is a hockey-mom.

whambulance was on the way to my house. They just called and said they need to go somewhere else.

Even if the Africa and towel store aren't true, does it still change the fact that Sarah Palin ranks up their with Dan Quayle in terms of air-headedness? Some of you aren't seeing the forest for the trees.

These weren't the only two stories that came out of the campaign after the election either, they are just two out of MANY. Equally damning are the ones that Palin was behaving like she was already a superstar and plotting her own political future even if it meant sacrificing the campaign. She wanted to go out and give a concession speech after McCan, but they wouldn't let her. A great deal of evidence suggest that not only was the McCain campaign having to babysit Palin because she didn't know anything about politics, but also because she was acting fairly immature, especially towards the end of the campaign.

And some of you are so convinced that these stories aren't true, and I won't force you to bring up any evidence that they aren't true, but show me evidence that Palin isn't incompetent. Some of you are equally committed to the idea that Palin is an astute politician without much evidence to support that belief.

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. FYI - this too has been debunked.

Steve Beigun (the guy who was actually having these conversations with her that are being referenced), along with a number of other aids and staffers are all calling BS on the entire group of rumors.

It's just too bad the people accusing her of this stuff aren't as willing to stake their reputation on it as the people who are defending her, and that says it all really.

The folks who buy this stuff are no better than the folks who believe Obama is a Muslim or a terrorist. Make your excuses.

Steven will be entering law school soon and I am in law school now. What was the question? Whether or not Sarah Palin is incompetent? That is a resounding yes.

And whether or not these stories are bogus is a most definite no. Much of what I have read has shown a fairly consistent message, that Palin quickly became a liability to the McCain campaign after they picked her because of not necessarily her lack of political experience, but her lack of general political knowledge. Once that Katie Couric interview came out, which was a softball interview, I have read from many sources that the McCain campaign put Palin in lockdown so that she couldn't even be in front of a camera unless they wanted her to be there.

There was evidence of infighting with in the McCain campaign weeks ago (CNN had a frontpage article on it about 3-4 weeks ago), and even days after they picked her they were finding out all kinds of things they didn't know since the vetting process was abbreviated.  McCain definitely picked her without having a lot of time to carefully consider the choice since his numbers in the polls were drooping.  I really don't think anyone can argue that she was his first choice.

And its not like the information is just spontaneously arising from the boogeyman that is the liberal media. The stories have come from all over, and all touch on a few resounding themes, that McCain took a risk in picking Palin and that she turned out to be way more unqualified than he expected. Its really not surprising that this extra dirt is spilling out after the campaign (as it always does since people within the campaign try to keep a lid on it so that it doesn't affect the election), and like I said all of these recent stories seem to be originating from the campaign itself.

Not to mention the fact that there is a dearth of evidence out there that Palin IS politically knowledgeable, so people trying to claim these stories are bogus really don't have much evidence to work with to claim that they AREN'T bogus.

This. You have seen the report and presented a deep and well-thought out argument. I really just laugh when folks defend her in spite of this. Folks can blast Biden but no one has accused him of being:

Sympathetic to a group that encourages secession from the Union

Married to a person who has strong ties to a group that wants to secede from the Union

Multiple sources that she went hogwild on expensive shopping sprees

Was asked basic questions in interviews and was completely clueless - on camera

Has no clue on major events, party policies and doctrines and sticks to GOP talking points like glue

Had the VP debate gimped to allow her to compete

Has proven time and time again she is a diva, not a leader

I could go on and on, but I'd be wasting my time.

Let's - for a moment - just go with things she actually said and form a logical statement...

She can differentiate between a person who bombs a government building and someone who bombs a medical building but the way she expressed it proved that she doesn't know what the word terrorist means.

She can not differentiate between a terrorist and someone who worked with a person who also happens to be a washed up, old terrorist.

Before she ever heard of Khalidi, she was saying TerroristS - S, Plural.

She calls Rashid Khalidi, an American Citizen, a terrorist.  Not only is this person not a terrorist, but he is a friend to both Palestinian and Jewish groups.  She single-handedly made sure every old Jew (I can say it, I'm Jewish) who was afraid of Obama's middle name voted for Obama.

Why does everyone who is claiming these are false or debunked fail to include any links to support what they are claiming?
