Forums - Sony - How much did Lair sell in total?

I have to admit...I like Lair. A lot. It can be tedious but overall its a solid game that received criticism that wasn't deserved AT ALL. I looked at the sales page and noticed that this game (along with a few others) is missing its "Others" sales numbers. Does anybody know how much it sold there?

Id say it would be slightly higher than US sales, which would put it around 600K. Not enough to cover the ~20m development cost, but enough to not completely bomb.

That's 600k too many.

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Oh come on its not that bad of a game. If you get used to the controls its actually quite good. Why don't you like it?

Its metacritic grade is 53%, based on 55 reviewers. The controls are the least of its problems.

Man, you must have played a different game than I did.  Even with the improved controls it was still bad.  It wasn't Lost: Via Domus bad but it was still pretty terrible.  I still can't believe they allowed that game to be released as it was.

I'm not trying to justify Lair, but the controls were the main issue in the reviews.

The controls was the main problem with the game. After I tried the patch (which didn't help since I sucked at inverted aiming) i went back to motion controls, but once I got used to it, the game was actually pretty decent at times. Especially the Maelstrom stage.

The only problem with Lair was the controls. With improved controls Lair is a mid 70's game.

Lair is a game that I still want to get. I know it has been panned in reviews, but there are a significant number of people that really liked it once they got used to the controls.

I just need to find a copy in a bargain bin somewhere (in case *I* am one of the many that can't get used to the controls). It can't be any worse than DMC4 (*ugh*).

That game almost killed the PS3. Well, not really, but it was the last thing a PS3 fan needed at the time.
