Forums - General - Brandon Crisp found dead :(

Umm... guess he showed them?

Its weird, how people can get so addicted to games. I played my NES to death as a kid, but once I was able to go out on my own at 14, I spent more time out with my friends or hanging with my friends at my place. Maybe thats the operative word here - friends, and not of the online variety. Make sure you, and when the time comes - your kids, have good friends that will keep each other from doing dumb things or falling into depression. A person can often be judged by the quality of the company they keep.

"The 15-year-old's disappearance on Thanksgiving Day, Oct. 13, prompted an outpouring of emotion and support from across the country, with hundreds volunteering to assist in the search."

The bigger story: Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving? On October 13!? It doesn't release in the United States until November! America is losing the Thanksgiving Race! Also, rest in peace, young man.

this is solely the fault of the parents and i hope they are suffering terribly.

Uncalled for. You should never want that suffering on anyone, especially parents who have just lost their child.

I lost my best friend two years ago and I was around his parents a lot. It's the worst thing any parent can go through.

It is their fault for not teaching the kid what should have taught a long time before 15. It's their fault and no one elses, they are getting what they deserved. You reap what you sow, right? Too bad the kid was stuck with parents like that.

It's so easy to say "blame it on the parents" when a lot of the times that's not the case, especially when we have no idea what went on in that household.

There are 2 possibilities, their fault or his fault. If it's his fault then the little fuck got what he deserved.

Well, I called it. I said the kid was dead when I saw the news of his disappearing.
I wouldn't blame his parents or the kid. It was just a tragedy. People die all the time.
A 15 year old girl died a few weeks ago here on SP. It was all over the news here in my country. Victim of her crazed ex-boyfriend who kidnapped her out of jealousy. Put a bullet in her head and hip and shot her friend in the face as well when the cops got tired of waiting for him to make a move and busted into the place.
Was it his fault? I guess you could say it was, but I don`t see that way. I think the guy obviously had mental health problems and just dealt with it the wrong way.
All that aside, it`s realy not cool to be pointing fingers in a time like this. It won`t bring the kid back. If you think the parents are the ones to blame, keep that shit to yourself, because saying it just makes you sound like a jerk...

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

i dont mind if someone thinks im a jerk for telling the truth, but thank you for your concern

uhm I wonder what killed him. Runaway kids would return home if they could feel the whole freezing to death thing coming on. I wonder if he got hurt and stuck somewhere?

4 ≈ One

This is a terrible tragedy. And so are some of these short-sighted and meanspirited comments.

Do you think the parents really just ignored the problem all this time? Of course not. I'm sure they tried everything reasonable to discourage the behaviour and certainly banning him from his 360 was one of those things. I've done that myself when my son's grades were slipping because he wasn't concentrating enough on his homework.

But who could have forseen this?? The child acted in a way way out of line with the punishment. I'm not blaming him, but who runs away from home and (presumably) starves themselves to death because they can't play CoD4 anymore? Someone with some deep seated problems.

Perhaps, in hindsight, the parents could have/should have gone about this differently and that's a thought that will haunt these folks until they die, but they acted in accordance to the way you would with any normal child. Unfortunately it turns out their child wasn't as normal as they thought.
