If you go to wal-mart.com, this Saturday at 8am they are having a $100 gift card thrown in with all 80 gig $399 PS3's, esentially making it $299.99 if you could someone convert that gift card into cash value.
Real good deal imho, and should put the PS3 ahead of the 360 in US sales next week.
Yes, I just posted on a Sony forum but figure I would give the heads up.
It's just that simple.
I doubt it will outsell the 360 because of this....
They did the same thing during father's day weekend this summer
if multiple stores start offering deals like this, i wonder if it'll lead to an official price drop.
Great deal, but I think I am going to wait to see what 2009 bundles Sony throws out before I pick up a PS3.

That never made any sense to me. How can you even hope to be accurate when you don't include the nation's biggest retailer?

It's not that VGC doesn't want to track Walmart, Walmart just doesn't release their numbers.... to anyone.
a real price cut would be nice but how many times have sony said no? but i guess 100 dollar gift card is just as good.
