And I have nothing else to add, you take wrong numbers, if you check vgchartz top 15 for the ps3, you'll see that 5 games are new IP. Moreover I stay with my "I don't count wiisports and wiiplay". One is given with the console, the other with the controller.

TO be honest tho, I really hope that Disaster bombed hard. This way Nintendo gets kicked in the stomach for not bringing it to the US, the territory that this game would have sold the best in. Maybe they'll start catering such titles to the US market first. Its just good business sense. Imagine testing the success of a product by seeing how its target audience responds. Japan hates these kind of games, and the UK cant be bothered with games based on original IP.

Your chart just backs up what my point is. RE4 and UC chart over a mil each, zak and wiki, a quirky  original IP does nearly 500K. Only one unknown that likely didnt even hit the US side, which flopped.  Other games not released yet.

Rooo c'mon, how do you want a RE to fail??? Even outbreak on ps2 (and god it was bad) broke the million. Zack and wiki did ok, but it's still under 500k.

^^^^ at $50/copy x 400k, that's 20 mil for a game that cost 3.5 mil to make, in other words a profit of 16.5 mil. I'd call that successful. Now if its a HD game, thats a different story, as the development might cost as much as 20-30 mil. An HD game MUST break the mil mark in order to turn a profit in many cases. This is why a lot of devs like making Wii games. Easier turnaround to profitability.

You do realize wiisports sold the wii, not the otherway around.  That's truely a powerful game.
