I played the R2 beta and was left rather unimpressed; I'm quite certain it won't be a purchase for me.  Regardless, the use of phrases like "utter crap" and "looks terrible" when comparing COD4 to R2 smacks of rampant fanboyism.

Usually, hatred between systems switches from week to week.

But for the past several weeks, the PS3 has been receiving the brunt of all the hate.

Where is CliffyB and his wild mouth when you need him?...............Making Resistance 2 look "simply inferior".

Offending me, wont bring your argument anywhere actually, you see I was in the beta as well, and was also left unimpressed. Until I bought the game, and im telling you its amazing.

Ive never had this much fun on ANY CONSOLE period. The visuals are dramatically improved, trust me, and those that have played the retail version of the game.

Its a blast, and its visuals shouldnt be understimated, it looks phenomenal, that same screen your showing me looks amazing in R2, the truth is the screen you are showing me of the same level looks like utter crap, but in game it looks beyond amazing, heck I nearly compared it to crysis(far ahead of Farcry 2 atleast the consoleversion, speaking of the jungle/forest section ofcourse).

My argument is, that this reviewer is talking nonsense, call of duty 4 doesnt even look as good as Resistance 2.. not even close.

I agree,COD4 looks rather Average,R2 is a nice looking game.

If R2 was rated the better of the two, I'm sure the thread poster would not have mentioned it.

Im playing KZ2 beta now, the real question is Killzone 2 vs Gears 2. Thats always been the real test for both games.

Because of that may as well compare the 360s second best to the PS3s second best, I.E L4D vs RFOM 2.

the beta is not the game.. if we went by the beta LBP would be a medicore failure.

@goose: The thing that R2 has going for it is it's scale. Trust me, when you first view San Fransisco, your jaw will drop, and you'll be equally impressed when you fight the epic battle in Chicago (and no, it's not the one with the Colossus).

Killzone 2 is an awesome shooter, its about the only online shooter to hold my attention longer than 5 minutes!

multiplayer graphics are not the same as single player.

single player graphics are very polish.
