Forums - Gaming - Both Exclusive Games List for 2009!(360 & PS3)

2009 is the year of the PS3.
Just like 2008 was.
but with a price cut in march
and KIllzone 2 & God of war 3 for america,
Gran turismo 5 In Europe
And WKC,Yakuza 3 and FF XIII In Japan it will clearly dominate 360. (sales and game wise)
Get over it.
2009 Will Be HUGE.

Are you being sarcastic? You sound like a parody of yourself.

If 2008 was the year of the PS3, I certainly don't think it was because of games. The 360 had at least an equal library. In fact, I dont' think it was the year of anything, but the Wii.

As for things being huge, can you please explain the meaning of that for me? Is it being literal, because it seems like some Internet inside joke that I'm not getting. Nothing that was supposed to be HUGE has been huge so far....is it being sarcastic, or poking fun at some fanboy? Please respond.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I'm glad you enjoy your purchase, and that you are one of the club with us happy console owners.

Wow, so the OP showed some bias or naivety or something. Here's the real list so we can get a real comparison going, and I also marked PC shared games as such because they're valid to a console vs console thread. I'm abiding by his rule that games have to be officially announced for '09 and questionable games will be marked as such as well. Also note that some of these games are unknowns pulled from Wiki and I'll tell you if they're smaller releases or iffy by marking them with a *.

Xbox 360 Exclusives for 2009:

- Age of Conan (360/PC, MMORPG) from Funcom

- Alan Wake (360/PC, Horror) from Remedy Entertainment

- APB: All Points Bulletin (PC/360, MMO) from Real Time Worlds

- Champions Online (360/PC, MMORPG) from Cyptic Studios

- Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (PC/360, RPG) from Larian Studios* [Don't know what this is really.]

- Forza Motorsport 3 (360, Racing) from Turn 10 Studios* [Kind of confirmed. Check Wiki for details.]

- Halo 3: Recon (360, FPS) from Bungie [This is standalone]

- Halo Wars (360, RTS) from Ensemble Studios R.I.P.

- Mass Effect 2 (360/PC, WRPG) from Bioware

- RacePro (360, Racing) from SimBin* [Don't know what this is really.]

- Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger (PC/360, RTS/FPS)* from Atomic Motion [Yeah, it's another unknown for me.]

- Star Ocean: The Last Hope (360, ARPG) from Tri-Ace

- Splinter Cell: Conviction (360/PC, Stealth) from Ubisoft Montreal

- Velvet Assasin (360/PC, Stealth) from Replay Studios

- Venetica (360/PC, RPG) from Deck13* [Another unknown title.]

PlayStation 3 Exclusives for 2009:

- The Agency (PS3/PC, MMO) from SOE Seattle

- Amphibian Man (PS3/PC, ?) from KD Vision Games* [I think this is vapor or multiplat but it was on Wiki as PS3/PC.]

- DC Universe Online (PS3/PC, MMORPG) from Sony Online Austin

- Demon's Souls (PS3, Action) from From Software

- EyePet (PS3, Pet Sim) from SCE London

- Free Realms (PS3/PC, MMORPG) from Sony Online Entertainment* [First time I've heard of this game. Not a slight BTW.]

- God of War III (PS3, Adventure) from SCE Studios Santa Monica* [Doubt it's a 2009 release, but it's marked as such.]

- Gran Turismo 5 (PS3, Racing) from Polyphony Digital

- Heavy Rain (PS3, Mystery/Thriller) from Quantic Dream

- inFamous (PS3, Sandbox) from Sucker Punch Productions

- Killzone 2 (PS3, FPS) from Guerilla Games

- L.A. Noire (PS3/?, Detective/Sandbox) from Team Bondi* [This is likely to be multiplat, but it's still listed as PS3 only.]

- MAG: Massive Action Game (PS3, MMO Shooter) from Zipper Interactive

- Nobi Nobi Boy (PS3, Action) from Namco Bandai* [It's from Katamari creator, but I dunno about '09 release.]

- Quantum Theory (PS3, 3rd Person Shooter) from Tecmo

- Uncharted 2 (PS3, Action-Adventure) from Naughty Dog* [They are working on a 2009 release, but it's not certain.]

- WarDevil: Unleash the Beast Within (PS3, Action-Adventure) from Digi-Guys* [Never heard of this until today.]

- Yakuza 3 (PS3, Action-Adventure) from Amusent Vision

I'm sure I missed a few games and you can tell me so, but do not try to claim I'm a fanboy or something because this list was taken directly from Wikipedia.

I have a feeling the OP actually isn't a new poster, but a troll account or alt. Anyone care to take a wager on who it might be?

Instead of complaining, you could make your own thread. You just look like stupid whiners if you complain and complain but do nothing.

I think games released on both a HD console and the PC are kinda difficult... They're really not exclusive, only console exclusive, though console market is often bigger. On the other hand, it would still be stupid to say the PC and the consoles aren't competing against each other as they clearly are - I doubt there are many people who are willing to buy a game on multiple platforms. Sure, a console owner might not be interested in PC games but if a game is released on several platforms as a similar version, they will compete against each other. Or something like that =P

^It's November of 2008! Yes someone here could man up and make the thread but either way it's still A. Too Early, and B. doesn't change the fact that the OP shouldn't have even bothered making a fail thread he can't do.

Look at the 2008 exclusive thread for 360, on it is listed which games are 360 exclusive and which are PC/360. Onyxmeth did it right the first time and I'm sure if he makes the list for 2009 he'll do it right again. We're complaining because OP failed to deliver and now is showing us his fanboy bias.

Also either way some of these games are published by Microsoft so yes they're competing but do you think Microsoft cares if someone buys a PC or console? Either way they're getting the dough.

PC is still a WINDOWS Platform,So if God Of war comes to PSP its not exclusive?!??!

Buts it not *EXCLUSIVE* to that system...

Fact is that its still is owned by MS

I love that LA Noire is a PS3 exclusive because the 360 version will have more then one DVD.
