Personally, I think that Microsoft does a better job of hyping their exclusives, especially to the reviewers. And I think it shows in the scores.

The only PS3 exclusives to really get the level of attention that almost every 360 exclusive gets would be Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet.

Both these games are amazing and reviews are scoring them 8's and above.....8's and above people.

Though I respect his opinion, I just cant help but continue seeing the same person crying and spreading false information while calling BS on sites that score R2 lower than he thinks is acceptable......hmmm.....I wonder who that could be....>.>....(cough).....forevercloud3000....sad really!

Everyone has a slightly different opinion, this is human nature. But Reviewers have a much larger task at hand. Reviewers do not review a game on simply whether THEY like it or not, more so on whether the public will like it or not. These certain reviewers failed to do so yet instead push their own bias propaganda on the public. Especially GameDaily, in their Review of R2 you could tell that they were itching to blert GoW2 is better! the whole time. And they did right at the end.

You ever wonder why gamers are satisfied with Fable 2's reviews? Its because they were fair to the game. Most gamers actually AGREE with the scores given to it.

Then you have PS3 exclusives, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Resistance , R2, etc. These games got bad reviews yet for some reason the general public LOVES these games. THey actually sold over a million copies to bode Greatest hit status. So if these games are selling that means they are actually good in contradiction to what the reviewers said. Does that not make the reviewers wrong? The ranking of games is to show which games are worth buying. These games have proven to be worth it so what is the deal?

Since it's apparently better then every game you listed there... and should have higher review scores then them... yet lower... even when those games got fanboy review scores!

So it is of your opinion then that Carnival Games should have a higher ranking then Uncharted and Heavenly Sword.... yes?

@ the low reviews score : I don't get neither but maybe it's important to know that IGN gave it a 9.5 IMO the only review that I have a problem with is 1UP because they gave a much worse games same or higher score
and again I'm not into reviews at all I'm just stating my opinion for the AAA freaks ^^

Carnival Games outsold those games.  Therefore by your logic, a better game that was reviewed by fanboys.

It's showing the basic flaws in your arguement in a way even you will understand.   By your logic, Carnival games is a much better game then any of those.

Yet also got a much lower score.

Heavenly Sword has a 79 metacritic average when the game should really be somewhere around an 8.8

Uncharted has a 8.8 average where it should be somewhere around a 9.5

RFOM averages as a 8.6 when those who played it put it somewhere around a 9.3

Your Carnival Games analogy is weak at best. First off Carnival games are not a tangible sold good. They are closer to a service. Plus there is hundreds of other factors not limited to the fact that Carnival's prey on humanistic drive to spontaneous purchase. Carnival Games are not reviewed either so what really is your point?

Reviews are meant to lead the average consumer in the right direction on what is worth buying over something else. This is their purpose do you not agree? Hardcore gamers like you or I, ppl who surf gaming forums are much more informed on a game's significance. We are highly knowledgable of the games we are interested in already and do not need to hear it from a word of mouth reviewer(to an extent). Yet common/casual consumers are not that knowledgeable of games before a review tells them. If a review says the game is bad or that it does not compete with other games they will not buy it. As hardcore gamers we are better at making these decisions for ourselves.

My point is....
The hardcore gamers who already knew about these games, and regardless of the media giving it low scores, knew better and still got these games. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the casual game buyer. They missed out on the opportunity because the reviews said otherwise.

This is why I cannot tolerate shifty reviews that in return hinder the success of the game and it's developers.
