Forums - Sales - Most Gamers Shop Wal-Mart First

Interesting, WalMart game prices have never seemed all that great to me and the selection is terrible, but I guess there are a whole lot of Wal-marts in this country.

Out of the many, many games I have bought over the years, only 1 came from Walmart.

  Tifa got MOVES!

Well nobody can compete with their prices. I also buy my games at SuperStore (I think it's only in Canada) why would I buy games from Best Buy when they're so much cheaper there.

I mean Fable 2 and LBP both came out at 50$.

Also Amazon.ca is always 5$ cheaper than the retail price.

i actually bought games at walmart, they have good deals most of the time but i end up buying them most of the time at ebgames and sometimes bestbuy or futureshop.

haven't bought a game at walmart actually.
mostly because the games are locked away and have to find someone to help me.

Ugh, I hate buying @ wal-mart... I also don't see the point at making an account at IGN either though, as all of the free stuff is available to the public...

I have only bought 1 game at walmart, and it was because it was a $60 game on clearance for $10...

NWhile on that topic, Wal-mart almost never has any games that are over 3 weeks old...

agreed. but you really do have to admit, the fact of the matter is, wal-mart probably sells more games than GS and BB combined.

Gamestop (unfortunately) first.

Then BB.

Never Wal-mart. Horrible selection, and incompetent employees.

Ok not many people here go to wal-mart but it is still the number 1 place for game sales and NPD doesn't include it.

That was topic creator main point, not where you all buy your games :o

Agree. Wal Mart has THE WORST customer service.

One thing I cant stand is incompetent employees at a gaming store, especially when they start spreading false information. I saw a guy turn on a refurbished 360 without hooking it up to a tv to see if it works and the rings started to flash red indicating that the 360 wasn't hooked up to a tv. That employee then went on to ridicule the person for getting a 360 and having the red ring not realizing there was nothing wrong with the 360. I had to step in and tell the kid what was going on.

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Why don't people buy online?  Amazon has no tax and free shipping in most states.  It's probably that people gotta have it on day one,  I guess.

As an aside: Congress should start taxing interstate online purchases (interstate commerce power) and then distribute proceeds between the vendor's state and the buyer's state.  There's no reason that we should pay tax in brick and mortar shops but be able to avoid tax by buying online.

Plus, someone/something's gotta pay for this war and bailout...
