It's not exactly a small issue.  The text is literally unreadable on an SDTV.  I wouldn't mind missing story stuff (it's banjo, who cares), but you need to know what's going on for the missions.

I have a 42" Plasma.  I'm fine.  My friend isn't so lucky, and now won't be buying the game.

And I thought it was just because I was really high when I played the demo, but I guess that text is really small. I don't understand the need to text so damn small anyways, are they really that concerned with it eating up too much screen space?

I played the demo on a 32" SDTV and I had no major problems reading the text. Dead Rising is a lot worse its almost impossible to read the text on a SDTV.

Even on my 65" HD the text gave me a headache, oh well. It is understandable, with the thousands of lines of text it is probably extremely difficult to just patch. Oh well, the game should still be amazing.

In order to go back in, and change every iota of text to be compatible with SDTV resolutions would be a large undertaking, and unfortunately, Rare can't do it.

It's unfortunate, but understandable. You can't change such a big part of the game this late in the release cycle - It'd require weeks, if not months to fix it.

no...its not understandable. they shouldnt have been stupid in the first place and made sure the text would have been readable for everyone. how much sales are they going to lose now because people cant read it? how can it attract the casuals they want when they wont be able to read whats said? i hope all the reviewers give it a 0.
