Heres a thought - Lionhead's mysterious project Dimitri is an FPS. Peter Molyneux said it will be unveiled in 2009.

Recon I have already discussed. Mass Effect 2 is an RPG, which debuted alongside Halo 3. Noone will accept it as Microsoft's shooter and they know it. Huxley is vapourware as far as I know these days. Even if it isn't my understanding is it's not your standard shooter fare. Alan Wake is survival horror and will hopefully be out early or mid next year. What in the name of god is Donnybrook?

Huxley is as much vaporware as God of War 3 is. Just because Microsoft takes the Nintendo route of never announcing games unless they are along quite a ways, doesn't mean Microsoft (like Nintendo) lacks big titles.
AW is still a top-tier AAA shooter, and is a sandbox game - Was Condemned not a shooter?
Donnybrook is similar to Huxley/MAG. It's a project Microsoft has been working on for creating FPS games with 100s of players in-game at once with even more bots.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

lol?
MS was going to announce Halo 3: Recon at E3 08, some fourteen months or so ahead of release. Nowhere near Nintendo's six months or so before release M.O. Please don't try to put them in the same boat, it's incorrect and sad.
I have never ever heard of Donnybrook, link to what it is please. And Huxley is Vaporware. No one is even talking abou it. Let's not bring GoW3 in this convo which was just announced four months ago. >_>
No Rare plz don't revive anymore of your old games... I like them haha and you can't ruin anymore.
If I had to take a guess though Halo 3: Recon of course and probably a big 3rd party shooter to round it off.

Thats the sort of thing I'm thinking.
But what?
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
Halo 3: Recon fulfills the criteria, it'll be huge at retail and easily push over 5 million units.
If we're looking for something bigger, we're likely to end up disappointed.
Is Halo 3 Recon going to be the same game with a second campaign? I just dont see it fitting the bill.

My money is on Halo Chronicles, the Peter Jackson project with Ryan Payton and the Gearbox team.
