I assume the bet is off. I guess we could use metacritic to break the tie, but that's moving the goalposts, so yeah, the original bet was IGN, and with 2 9.5s, the bet's over.

metacritic scores will favour gears 2. its obvious
but resistance 2 offers more for the gamer, its a bigger game in scope and ambition
gears will score higher due to many fanboy reviews, but my purchase choice is resistance 2 as its looking to be the better game.
