Forums - Sony - One thing that disapoints me about LBP (I'm asking for a ****storm here)

My biggest gripe, most of the community levels I've played are pretty boring. The ones that I like were mario levels :-/

Around the Network

They have plenty of unique levels as well, like Hallow Bastion and the Azure Garden.

I finally tried that world of color one. Pretty cool level. Hallow Bastion was also very nice.

I don't remember the exact name, but the Unexpected Level is very fun with two people.

We loved the batman level and the ninja warrior level its familiar games concept built from the ground up by a user. and in a party of 4 completey insane. whats not to love.

Vanity vanity vanity there is nothing new under the sun boo hoo.

Just make a total kick but level on your own and we will rate it

Around the Network

My level will have flaming ninjas from hell a green ogre and a fat guy wearing a red suit. ya thats the ticket.

World of Colour is really delightful though.

I've only begun to dig into this game!

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

F.U. Fun University.

First, imatation is the greatest flattery.

Second, I agree with darth, just like drawing, you start with something you are familiar with, to see if you can do it. Once you have the hang of it, then you decide what twist you want. Then you start developing further and further away from what you were copying.

Third, everything in the world has been done already but maybe at a lesser extent. Their is not one original idea that someone has not thought of. It usually people who come along and re imagines ones ideas and (may or may not) improve on them.

Half-Life = Halo
Hercules = Superman
Jame Bond = Jason Bourne
Romeo & Juliet = West Side Story
James Brown = Micheal Jackson = Usher

Lastly, if in four months more people have not started to branch out to do more of their own stuff, then I will agree with you.  Its to early to be critical about originality of user designs.

I'm just saying...
