Holy crap. That is so not worth the effort of DLing the emulator, let alone buying a touchscreen skin to make it work. That is stretched to oblivion.

lol....yea it is

it got different types though....such as :

That could work for a game like Ninja Gaiden and Phantom Hourglass, where the touch screen is the entirety of the controls, but many games still use a partial button layout and this would be unplayable. It's a novel little mod, but ultimately, you're playing a very bad version of a DS game in any instance. The DS has a low enough entry point that getting one shouldn't be a major issue for anybody.

The DS I could see working. I think it would do better on its side, and would just be a matter of holding the PSP in a somewhat awkward manner. I really don't see what type of button configuration you could use to get N64 games to play reasonably though. I suppose it's possible, but still seriously inconvenient.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

No matter how smoothly it runs, it wouldn't work right. The button layout would make it incredibly complicated and difficult.

*SIGH*

ever tried it ?

What's there to try? There aren't enough buttons. Case closed. You can't make something work right when you simply don't have the hardware to do it.

Quit the fanboyism.

Yes, it can be done. But would it work right? Would it not be complicated and difficult? No matter how you try it, the answer is no. You need the analog on one side, with a shoulder button/trigger, and you need six buttons + a shoulder/trigger on the other side. There's no other way to work it out without being complicated and difficult. Period.

Theoretically, I could see using Dpad in certain cases, or skipping certain Cbuttons for games that had them copied, like how Smash Bros all the cbuttons are jump. It MIGHT be possible to use the start and select buttons to make up for the lack of A and B buttons, but it's still pretty rough.

Unfortunately, the game EVERYONE would want to play, WWF No Mercy, uses all of the buttons for different things. It would be unplayable.

I'm sorry but that looks like complete ass.  It's cool they got the DS working on the PSP and you can add a touch screen but it doesn't change the fact it's ass.

Even holding it the other way, it seems like that would only work for games that use only the touch screen which I can't think of many good ones off the top of my head.

Of course I guess if you do pirate your DS games you deserve to play them in a crappy way.

twestern, I'll actually defend the PSP with a touchscreen in this case, if you use the turned sideways method. You could still use the Dpad and the trigger for the same controls as on the DS, It's just be a little awkward.
Of course, that method is currently running at 2.5 frames per second? Um, yeah, thanks, but no.

I wouldn't mind  a good PSP emulator for the PC though. Right now there are only 2 or 3 games that hold any interest on PSP for me and those are Crush and Echochrome, maybe Patapon and Locoroco, those just aren't enough to justify the purchase of the PSP, especially not when I still have a veritable onslaught of games on DS, Wii, N64, PSX, SNES, NES, GBA, and GBC/GB to get through.

poor thing...u failed.....cuz u never even played a n64 game on the psp....u are just making assumptions

and then u throw in "fanboy" to justify weak assumptions.....at least try playing a n64 game on the PSP,then state your opinion.....
