It should mean sales to retail.

The 0.7 is probably an adjustment figure. They probably both produced and sold more than that this quarter, but those extra units sold had already been accounted for last quarter as "production shipments".

Edit: This would mean they've sold 6.2 million units LTD, and 2+ million are still sitting in shelves around the world. I don't know... this seems high.

Edit 2: Forget I said anything. They've sold 4.3 million units LTD, and only 0.7 million this quarter with 0.6 still sitting on shelves.

Sales here, are sales to retail.

Their estimates are way off, especially for the PS3, at the moment, that thing is a train wreck. :P

am I the only one shocked by Sony's software shipments? So Nintendo is expect to sell (ship right?) 212 million for Wii and DS while Sony is expected to sell 250 for PS3/PSP. I don't think sony is gonna sell anywhere near the software Nintendo does, DS alone will probably sell 3-4 times as much software as PSP.

The only real big software boost for the psp will come from basicly one or two games

God of war

final fantasy crisis core

Those to will sell good very good, but again two games wont make much of a difference were the ds has over 30 great titles.

 i'm fairly sure that is 250m for PS2/PS3/PSP, which is quite doable, since they really only need to sell 1-2 games on each console sold.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

can someone fill in the xbox 360, Wii, DS shipments?

so when a console maker announces shipments they are expecting to sell all those shipments right?

360 numbers for March 08 will be harder to find, since I think MS's FYs end in June, not March.
