Hey guys I've had dead space for about 2 weeks but haven't gotten around to playing it, So I was wondering for anyone that has played or beaten it what is the best way to get the full effect out of it while playing?
I haven't played it, but I can tell you that for games in general (particularly ones you'd want to immerse yourself into, like horror games), having the lights shut off, playing in the evening/at night and surround sound are the way to go.

That's how I play, and let me tell you Silent Hill 3 and Condemned damn near killed me!
It’s great man at first you will crap your pants and then it’s like “it’s ok now I can relax” :P but then you crap some more. I just love getting scared by this game. It has some great music that brings you in. Anyone who hasn’t plaid the game should do it and give it an hour or so.
Just put it in and start the system! And do it alone plus what @Majin said ;)
